She continued her education at UNLV, balancing her studies for a Bachelor of Science in hospitality with a professional career in a renowned Las Vegas production.

Following her undergraduate studies, Jamie transitioned into the hospitality industry, where she contracted meetings and conventions for luxury hotels and secured corporate events at a prominent live music venue on the Strip. Beyond her professional life, she mentored third and fourth-year students in UNLV’s hospitality program and gave career presentations to middle and high school students.

Jamie pursued a Juris Doctor degree at UNLV’s William S. Boyd School of Law, where she earned top honors in Constitutional Law I and the UNLV Parking Arbitration program. She served as the Part-Time Evening Representative for the Student Bar Association and as treasurer for the Black Law Student Association. Jamie taught community bankruptcy and intellectual property classes and assisted with DACA renewals. Additionally, Jamie volunteered as an arbitrator for the UNLV parking arbitration program, adjudicating disputes over contested parking tickets.

Outside of her professional and academic pursuits, Jamie has dedicated her volunteer efforts to caring for pets awaiting adoption.
