Jack P. Burden is a law firm shareholder and a Martindale Hubbell AV Rated litigation attorney with practice emphasis in products liability, premises liability, food liability and commercial litigation matters. Mr. Burden joined BACKUS, CARRANZA &BURDEN in 2000 and has successfully defended a myriad of clients from Fortune 500 Companies, sports related entities to locally owned small businesses and individuals.
Mr. Burden received his Juris Doctorate from Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas in 1998 and graduated from the University of Nevada with a B.A in Journalism in 1993.
Mr. Burden was admitted to the State Bar of Nevada and the United States District Court - District of Nevada in 1999. He was also admitted to the United States Supreme Court in 2003.
Mr. Burden is an active member of the Defense Research Institute (DRI), and serves on its Trial Tactic Conference steering committee. He is also an active member of the State Bar of Nevada’s Continuing Legal Education and Jury Instruction Committees. In 2010, he was selected to the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC).
Mr. Burden serves on the Board of Directors of Project REAL, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. He also sits on the Canyon Springs High School’s Leadership and Law Preparatory Academy Advisory Council.
Mr. Burden is a 38 year resident of the Las Vegas community and is an avid runner, completing 15 marathons to date..
