Jack P. Burden is a highly skilled litigation attorney and shareholder in a law firm with a Martindale Hubbell AV rating. His legal practice focuses on defending clients in product liability, premises liability, food liability, and commercial litigation matters. Mr. Burden has successfully defended a diverse range of clients, including Fortune 500 companies, sports-related entities, and small businesses. He has been a part of the Backus | Burden law firm since 2000.

Mr. Burden obtained his Juris Doctorate from Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas, in 1998. Prior to this, he completed his Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Nevada in 1993. He was admitted to the State Bar of Nevada and the United States District Court – District of Nevada in 1999. Furthermore, he gained admission to the United States Supreme Court in 2003.

In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Burden is an active member of several organizations, including the Defense Research Institute (DRI), where he serves on the Trial Tactic Conference steering committee. He is also a member of the State Bar of Nevada’s Continuing Legal Education and Jury Instruction Committees. In recognition of his expertise, he was selected to the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC) in 2010.

Mr. Burden’s dedication to the community is demonstrated through his involvement in non-profit organizations. He serves on the Board of Directors of Project REAL, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, and also sits on the Canyon Springs High School’s Leadership and Law Preparatory Academy Advisory Council.

A 38-year resident of Las Vegas, Mr. Burden enjoys running and has completed 15 marathons to date. His commitment to his profession, community, and personal health and wellness is a testament to his drive and determination.
