Mr. Knecht was born and raised in Sacramento and graduated from Del Oro High School. He attended the University of Nevada, Reno and obtained his B.A. in Philosophy, with a minor in History.

Mr. Knecht received his Juris Doctor from The William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV. During law school, Mr. Knecht was selected as a member of the Society of Advocates, participating on the Moot Court team. Mr. Knecht was a recipient of the Dean’s Award.

While in law school, Mr. Knecht gained valuable insight from his work as an intern with The Honorable Jerry A. Weise II. He also worked for a prominent Las Vegas Plaintiff’s law firm.

During his third year of law school, Mr. Knecht began working as a law clerk at Backus | Burden. Upon his admission to the Nevada Bar, he was promoted to an Associate.

In his spare time, Mr. Knecht enjoys weightlifting, golf, and spending time with his wife.
